Gore is the true identity of "The Man" in Sonic Wings 3 and Sonic Wings Special in 2P mode. (In 1P mode in both games, "The Man" is Captain Waffle instead.) He was originally intended to appear in the unreleased Video System game Metal Rabbit. In Sonic Wings, Gore's goal is to capture princess Komomo Kitashirakawa.

Gore has short hair that is brown in Metal Rabbit and Sonic Wings Special, but blond in Sonic Wings 3. He has a mustache and rather pointy ears. (Yohmaoh and several other enemies in Rabio Lepus also have pointed ears, suggesting Gore may be affiliated with them.) Gore wears a sleeveless uniform with a cape and arm guards, and he carries a bow and quiver of arrows.

Metal Rabbit[]

Gore's intended role in Metal Rabbit is unknown, but judging from the game advertisements, he was probably going to be the main enemy. He may have captured the princess Komomo Kitashirakawa like he does in Sonic Wings 3 and Sonic Wings Special.

Gore, most often referred to as "The Man," is a secret unlockable character in Sonic Wings 3. Appearing only in two-player mode, Gore is paired with Kotomi Kitashirakawa. Kotomi asks Gore for help in rescuing her kidnapped sister. Their relationship is mostly business-like, although Kotomi calls him "gramps" once. After the final boss battle, they find the base where Kotomi's sister Komomo, princess of Bunnyland is being held. Gore goes in the front while Kotomi comes in the back-- just in time to see Gore kidnapping her sister. Gore escapes with Komomo, leaving Kotomi behind.

Gore reappears in Special as an unlockable character, still in shadow and still piloting the Diabloon. To be able to use him, the player must first play through the game with all of the other characters. Appearing in two-player mode only, Gore is again paired with Kotomi Kitashirakawa.

Two-Player Mode Endings:

  • Boss battle with Pandora: Kotomi and Gore rescue the princess Komomo Kitashirakawa, but Gore flies away before the girls can thank him. This seems to be the only ending where Gore isn't a villain.
  • Boss battle with Lar: Kotomi and Gore land at the base where the captured princess is being held. Gore tells Kotomi that he'll go in first, but when she enters, she finds that he has now kidnapped Komomo! The Aka Usagi chases after the Diabloon with Kotomi yelling for Gore to wait up. A rough translation of this scene is in the gallery below.
  • Boss battle with Balbi: Kotomi lands at the base, but her sister is not there. She tries to question a soldier about the princess's whereabouts, but Gore shoots him with an arrow before he can answer. A rough translation of this scene is in the gallery below.
